The porch fireplace

Stone, firelight and the best seat on a cool night.

About this spot

The barn has two fireplaces: a floor-to-ceiling stone one inside the hall and this one on the covered porch. On a fall or winter evening the porch fire becomes the place everyone gathers.

Winter and early spring are off-peak months, and the porch fire makes a cold-weather celebration feel warm.

Best light

Any evening below 60 degrees

Great for

  • Fireside portraits
  • Winter and holiday events
  • Late-night conversations
